S.M.A.R.T. stands for Small Area Repair Technique. The SMART Repair concept and technology that supports it were originally created to offer the motor industry a fast, cost-effective yet environmentally friendly solution to assist in the cosmetic repair of used vehicles.

Historically, damaged vehicles were sent to traditional body shops for all cosmetic repairs - no matter how small. This resulted in vehicles being away from the forecourt for up to a week whilst repairs were completed, thus eliminating any chance of selling the vehicle.

The SMART Repair industry has taken significant strides forward in the last 10 years in key areas such as embracing technology, developing state of the art specialist equipment, striving to develop increasingly efficient (*thus reducing waste) consumables and paint programmes whilst recognising and conforming to new legislative health and safety requirements.
